Our Ibo collection has an ingenious and creative origin story in the wooden panels from Indian trucks. The weathered tone and imperfections of the materials used in the Ibo Stool come through beautifully, with every piece showing unique variations in the tone of the wood, authentic rough textures, and knots and splits in the grain which only add to the rustic charm. Strong and sturdy, the design is stylish yet simple and very versatile — perfect as a footstool or as a small side table. The pale, natural finish creates a laidback look that fits into a relaxed decor and brings tactility and interest to a room.
The Ibo collection celebrates the versatility and creativity of Indian artisan craftsmanship. Each piece is hand-carved and then assembled by hand. Made from rustic reclaimed wood, this piece spent a former life travelling on the exterior of an Indian truck and has been re-purposed to give it a new lease of life.
The reclaimed nature of these pieces means there are imperfections and weathered finishes, no two are the same. To care for this item, we recommend regularly wiping with a soft, damp cloth. To clean the item, hand wash only using a mild dish soap and do not leave to soak. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as this may damage the finish. Indoor use only.
