Tall and elegant, the distinctive shape of our Arar lantern will ensure it makes a stylish statement. The antique bronze finish is the perfect counterpart to the warm glow of candlelight. The upper section of the lantern is open-sided while the base is crafted from frosted glass, which softly diffuses candlelight and creates a beautiful ambience. The metal has been skillfully soldered around the glass using traditional tools, creating a striking and sophisticated product. Available in two sizes.

To care for the item, we recommend washing the glass with a mild dish soap and warm water to remove any excess wax after every use to prevent a build up. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as this may damage the finish. Following the glass clean, wipe the metal with a dry cloth to avoid rusting. Please position the candle securely. This product will get hot in use. Keep out of reach of children. Wait until fully cooled before handling. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Local metal workers skilfully solder around the glass using traditional techniques. This handmade process means that there are weld marks on the joins of each piece, an honest feature that we love as it tells the story of how the product is made.

As the nights draw in, I'm always tempted to add to my Nkuku lanterns to add a warm glow to my rooms. These are my biggest so far, real statement pieces and hold their own in the corner of my large room. Beautifully made, and so well packed they weren't in any danger on their way to me.

It looks lovey though there is some dark marks where the glass and metal joins.
Put to the back so not noticed too much. I suppose that’s what you get from individual artisan pieces.
