How it's made
At nkuku we proudly use natural, reclaimed and recycled materials as we believe in celebrating the beauty of the natural world, reusing resources and minimising waste wherever we can. Our Mahra desk lamp is no exception. The base is hand crafted from natural marble while the body and shade are made from sheet metal, precisely cut to specific designs, then heated and hand-shaped to form the structure. Makers then expertly weld the parts together before adding an antique brass finish to create a beautifully aged aesthetic. This meticulous process guarantees every piece is not only well-crafted but uniquely distinct.
