The elegant brass-toned frame of our Murwara arched mirror is crafted from cast aluminium giving it a beautifully imperfect vintage antique finish. Hung vertically, the classic arch shape provides a sophisticated and practical focal point, perfect for a mantlepiece, it would also work well above a sideboard in a dining area, or to add the finishing touch to a hallway, positioned above a console table.
This piece is made using traditional sand-cast aluminium. The process involves preparing a mould from sand and heating the aluminium until it liquifies. The molten aluminium is then poured into the mould and, on cooling, the cast aluminium piece is removed. Sand casting aluminium results in a a unique surface finish, with irregular organic textures. The piece is then treated with an antique brass finish.
To care for your mirror, we recommend regularly wiping with a microfibre cloth in a circular motion. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
