Our Kutumba bench is a characterful addition to a hallway, kitchen, living room or bedroom space, bringing a touch of traditional craftsmanship into the home. The sturdy mango wood legs have been hand-turned and support a woven jute seat that bears an elegant symmetrical diamond design. Jute is a great material as it is a rain-fed crop that has little need for fertiliser or pesticides. A natural vegetable fibre, it can be spun into strong and durable threads.
Not suitable for outdoor use. To nourish and protect the natural wood rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth. Please note adding oil may darken the tone of the wood. Due to the natural beauty of these items there may be changes to the colour over time. The finish may mark when put in contact with hot drinks or liquid. Blot any spillage immediately with a dry cloth, do not use chemical cleaners.
