This simple yet striking coffee table displays the same clean aesthetic and trademark angular iron frame and woodwork that we love throughout this range. Crafted from mango wood, the natural characteristics of the grain shine through and complement – while contrasting – with the subtle colour variations that come through the patina of the iron. The generous dimensions make it ideal for creating a point of interest in the living room – use it to display favourite objects, beautiful books or a cluster of candles.
The frame is made from sheet iron which is then welded into the required shape. The mango wood top is a by-product of mango farming. Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, and harvested over a number of years, then once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they are cut down to allow farmers to plant more trees. Selling the waste material also provides the farmers with a supplementary income.
Wipe surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth to remove dust and moisture. Mild soap and water can be used for cleaning but take care not to use excess water as this may damage the finish. Always wipe in the direction of the wood grain. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as this may damage the finish. Avoid placing wet items directly on to the surface. Use coasters and mats for protection. Clean up spills immediately to prevent damage from liquids or staining. Soak up spills with a dry paper cloth, wipe with a damp lint free cloth and dry immediately.
