Handcrafted using traditional methods that have stood the test of time, the products are fired with a reactive cream glaze which responds to the heat of the kiln in any number of unpredictable ways. The end result is a product with distinctive markings and colouration. Our Malia dinner platers are shaped on a potter’s wheel and finished with a stylish linear pattern that is painted onto the rim by hand. These collections are created by talented artisans in China. The country has a rich heritage of arts and crafts, but sadly it is now more renowned for mass production and many of its traditional skills have been forgotten or overlooked. We work together with our suppliers to protect these skills.
